- We are lucky to have Yuki host the “Posh Jumble” stall – as she has over 25 years experience in the fashion business, from being a fashion consultant for Comme des Garcons, a style director for a Japanese magazine to sourcing jewellery. Yuki has a brilliant eye for all things. Our “posh jumble” table will feature one person’s collection from their closet – in this case a Comme des Garcons skirt, a Martin Margiela bag or one of the many vintage clothes that Yuki has personally collected over the years.
Amanda Cox from online emporium Nonesuchthings will be hosting Lovely Merchants, along with Christina Wilson. Nonesuchthings opened in 2009 and has built a following very quickly through press in Design Sponge, Elle Belgium, Swiss-Miss, Observer, Time Out, Easy Living and Living Etc amongst many others. Nonesuchthings will be offering a selection of wares from the Current Collection plus vintage goods and a sneak peak of goods from the Spring Collection.
Alice is an illustrator and fine stationery designer, living and working in Hackney, London. Her work is mostly inspired by love of language, British regalia and vintage curiosities. She particularly loves making things out of reclaimed textiles and antique papers, using things that have a story, and giving things a new use, in a new context. She designs fine stationery, to try to encourage people to write more letters. She will be one of the Lovely Merchants with new fine stationery items. www.alicegabb.com and her blog www.alicegabb.blogspot.com
Artist Jane Howard will be presenting a collection of hand crafted Christmas presents. Different watercolour card designs with her signature style. Glazed slip-cast ceramic bottles that will sit perfect on any shelf or mantle and individual landscape painted baubles. All of the objects are made with the intention that they will be passed on as gifts, to be offered as symbolic gestures of friendship, appreciation, love and mutual admiration this Christmas. http://janehoward.co.uk
Christina Wilson, classic stylist and known photographer for ilovegorgeous, has teamed up with Amanda Cox from the noted Nonesuchthings online emporium to create Lovely Merchants. Alongside a dozen hand picked merchants and like minded creative producers, Christina will be selling her range of cards and prints as well as a strictly limited selection of the fine things and charming curios she has acquired along the way – it could be a vintage dress, an old book or simply something that she finds beautiful. http://christinawilson.wordpress.com and http://christinawilson.co.uk
