Lindy is a journalist by training and a gardener by inclination. The yearning for a garden took her on the usual Londoner’s path of window box to allotment, and then ended up with a 17 acre farm in mountains of the south of France – the property was a working farm that supported a family of seven. So she was lucky to find most of the fruit trees and soft fruits in fantastic shape. She make jams as all the fruit ripens over the long season, starting with cherries then moving to strawberries, jostaberries, white and black currants, raspberries, green figs, mirabelles, plums, apricots, purple figs, and then finishing off the year with a hillside of quince. A lovely selection will be available for sale.
