Christina and Amanda – Valentines and Posh Jumble goods on sale tomorrow

Christina and I will be taking part in a fund raising Table Top Sale tomorrow (Saturday 2nd Feb from 2.30-4.30pm) at Camden School For Girls in NW5. We have been spring cleaning our cupboards and wardrobes and also I’ve been doing the same with Nonesuchthings – so tomorrow expect to find some Valentines cards and gifts and some Posh Jumble  and Nonesuchthings products at up to 80% off. We are delighted to be asked to attend the sale and to support this great state school. We are also expecting there will be a Homemade Cake stand at the sale – so pop along and grab a cup of tea and a sweet slice of something and say hello.

Tube update for Sunday 25th Nov – Lovely Merchants

Hope to see you tomorrow between 12-5.30.

Just a quickie – latest Tube closure info – there are definately some planned Tube works tomorrow (Sunday), but good service on the Northern Line (phew), but planned closure of Circle and part closure of Met, District and Hammersmith & City.

The closest Tube is Mornington Crescent on Northern Line – as you exit station, cross over the road and get onto Mornington Crescent, with the 1930s Carreras Cigarett Factory building on your left, walk along the Crescent and take the 2nd Street on the right which is Mornington Place, go to the end of that street and the Victoria is on the right at the end. Enter the first door of the pub and go upstairs.

closest tube – Mornington Crescent with Camden tube being 5-6 mins walk (please note that on Sundays you can only exist Camden tube between 1-5. It’s on a good bus route too – any buses coming to Camden should do the trick.

This is a cash only event – closest cashpoint is at bottom of Camden High Street, nearish Mornington Cres tube – if you are on the corner junction – just look up the high street and you will see a cashpoint outside the supermarket (either a mini Tesco or Sainsbury’s)

Parking – please do not park in Residents Bays unless you have a CAF permit. Single yellow parking is allowed and pay and display bays are free on Sunday – as always please do check signs where you are to confirm.

Food and refreshments – Mick will be serving a pre-bookable lunch downstairs at the pub – there will also be drinks including teas/coffees to order from the bar and to take upstairs to the event – many chesterfield sofas are upstairs plus baked goods by Alice and Maude can be bought.

Baked goods by Maude and Alice at Lovely Merchants

Maude is baking banana cupcakes with a chocolate frosting, carrot cupcakes with a vanilla frosting and a surprise xmas cupcake!  Alice will be baking a lemon cake and a banana loaf and a gluten free cake. Teas and coffees will also be served and the chesterfield sofas at the event will be a perfect place to plant yourself for awhile and enjoy the atmosphere.

Posh Jumble by Christina and Amanda

We have a new stall that will be hosted by Alice – Amanda (nonesuchthings.com) and Christina Wilson (christinawilson.co.uk) will be opening up their wardrobes and finding some gems for their Posh Jumble stand at Lovely Merchants. Expect to find vintage riding boots, Comme de Garcons skirts, vintage dresses perfect for Christmas parties, vintage jackets, Prada bag, vintage French workwear and much more.

 

Posh Jumble by Debra Bourne

We are very happy to have Debra host our Posh Jumble spot this time. Co-founder of the All Walks Beyond the Catwalk, an industry initiative to promote and celebrate the use of a more diverse range of models in fashion imagery. Her experience with working within the fashion industry on the editorial side as well as her consultancy has resulted in a strong sense of style and design – Debra will be opening her wardrobe and will be our Posh Jumble host at the next event – expect to find some fab finds including pieces by Ralph Lauren, Prada and many others. allwalks.org and twitter @msdebrabourne
